WebMCP
With the experimental WebMCP bridge, AX Code can read pages, call tools a website exposes and interact with its interface. It starts disabled and opens an isolated Chrome window when you enable it.
A website can tell an agent which actions it offers, what each action does and which inputs it accepts. This gives the agent an explicit tool interface alongside page reading and browser controls, reducing the need to infer every action from the visible interface. You still review permissions and results.

Run a supported local model on your own machine. Use it with AX Code to explore your project, make changes and review the code.
AX Code is the coding harness. AX Engine runs the model on your Mac. AX Code’s managed default is Tiel Coder 35B. AX Engine’s own dense default is Qwen 3.8 27B.
194.88tokens/s · Tiel completion, including time to first token
76.90tokens/s · Qwen 3.8 27B decode · M5 Max
Tiel Coder 35B (AX Code default): 194.88 vs 177.44 completion tokens/s including TTFT, M5 Max 128 GB, 20 September 2026. Decode 217.85 vs 198.40. Cyber-Tiel peak decode 249.01 (alternate pack). Qwen 3.8 27B AXQ (AX Engine dense default, not in the AX Code catalog): 76.90 decode / 795.3 prefill on M5 Max (2.76× direct AR); 31.05 decode on Mac mini M4 Pro 64 GB. Native API, not an AX Code session. Speed varies by hardware and workload.
Recommend M4 Pro 48 GB or more for the 35B pack. M5 Max 128 GB is the benchmark host. Do not mix Tiel completion tok/s with Qwen 27B decode. Native-API tokens/s are not AX Code session speed. External providers and connected tools may send data off-device.

FAQ
Use ax-code graph to inspect recorded steps and tool calls, and ax-code compare to compare two sessions. Review execution evidence alongside the diff instead of relying only on the final reply.
AX Code can restore available file snapshots at selected steps. Inspect recovery points first: rollback depends on retained snapshots and cannot undo external side effects.
Arena implement mode runs candidates in isolated Git worktrees and checks them against your repository tests. Verified candidates rank first; you review the results and decide what to keep. No winner is merged automatically.
Yes. AX Code supports Claude Code, Codex CLI, Muse Code CLI and Grok Build CLI as providers, reusing their local login/session. Combine your chosen provider with skills, project checks and session review. Adapter capabilities vary; measure coding improvements on your own tasks.
AX Code runtime downloads and the public SDK are free. Source code is available on GitHub. Existing Apache-2.0 and third-party licenses apply. Model-provider usage may be billed separately.
Local inference processes model requests on your machine. Cloud providers, connected tools, and network commands can transmit data. Your chosen configuration determines the data flow; local inference alone does not mean every action is offline.
